About

I like systems, and the people inside them.

Founder and CEO of Lumiera. Before that: redesigning and automating complex, cross-disciplinary risk systems at Klarna, law, diplomacy and a legal handbook on Thai law. Based in Europe, mostly between Paris, Stockholm and Lisbon.

Now

I started Lumiera because I kept seeing the same pattern: capable leaders making AI decisions with a map that no longer matched the territory. I have advised organisations on AI and digitalisation since 2019. In 2024 that work became Lumiera, and Allegra Guinan joined me as co-founder and CTO.

I've worked with AI since 2019, well before the current hype, when I joined a natural language processing project for one of the world's largest technology companies. That shapes how I see the field: generative AI is one part of the picture, and I care just as much about natural language processing, machine learning and world models. Underneath all of them sits data ontology, the question I keep returning to: what does this data mean, and how does it relate to other concepts? Get that wrong and every model built on top inherits the confusion.

I also advise investors and boards on AI strategy as a GLG subject-matter expert, and I was an inaugural Perplexity AI Business Fellow.

Klarna

Before Lumiera I spent two years as a consultant at Klarna. I redesigned and automated complex, cross-disciplinary risk systems, was product owner for internal risk management software used by 4,000 people, and advised the COO. It taught me that risk mostly lives in processes and handovers, and that the people closest to the work usually see it first.
